With only like 20 non conference games played, this year would've been a perfect year to experiment with a 5 P5, 2 at-large, 1 G5 8 team playoff.

Agreed. I've been advocating for that system for some time. Even in a normal season when most teams play only 1-2 non-conference games against other Power 5 teams, there simply aren't enough non-conference games to truly eliminate at least 1 of the Power 5 champions. The 8-team playoff you suggested accounts for so many of the deficiencies in the current system that I believe it is only a matter of time before we get there.

If Cincinnati beats Georgia, there is going to be a big call to go to that system sooner than later.

What a horrible way to finish the game for Cincy. While it's fun to be aggressive, sometimes safe is better- a good run would have left GA very little time to play with. Alas, a long FG won the game for GA.

Really didn’t understand the pass call. A run there is a win/draw scenario. Either you get the first and that’s ball game, or you’re short and leave UGA with 40ish seconds to go the length of the field.

Ugh, Georgia beats Cincinnati on a last second 53-yard field goal (they tacked on a safety on the last play of the game).

So far for the SEC:
- Embarrassing loss against Oklahoma
- Two nail-biter wins against the AAC
- Losing to Northwestern

The "Rose Bowl" will at least be the prettiest game of the day. Both teams in their best uniforms, among the most beautiful in football.

This is the only time I'm forced to watch ESPN each year.

I always forget how spectacularly stupid it is. If this aggro melodrama passes as profound for the gen pop it's no wonder we got Dump.

So how did Georgia end up kicking from their own 20 (after an unsportsmanlike penalty) and then down Cincy at their own 2 yard line to set up the safety - lateral play that failed, penalty on the return? It’s inconsequential to the final result, but seemed odd and I can’t find a replay of the kick itself.

They kicked a low line drive that bounced over the last guy back. He then had to race the Georgia players back to the ball and fall on it at the two.

Cincy player let it bounce in front of him, then was unsure what to do and let it go past him. It was probably going into the end zone for a touchback, but he decided to lay on it at the 2 with UGA coming down rather than risking the longest onside in history.

Kick bounced in front, and then over, the returner, who then had to scramble back to cover up at the 2 yard line.

FCS tourney it has 24 participants from 125 teams. FBS is at 130 teams. Meet in the middle somewhere.

Of course that will not be allowed to happen because once you get a tournament with underdogs given a chance then the racket falls apart. G5 teams are simply there to make the P5 teams feel good about their record at the end of the season.
