Coach Muz runs a system of bringing in young talent into the DOO roll. Coach Kline went thur this system and currently Coach Muz has a former captain and player as the DOO. I see some on this thread take cheap shots at Coach Muzerall about assistant coaches leaving... so some quick education for those posters. OSU has a rule that if you coach at tOSU you need to have a 4 year degree. Coach Muz hired former NHL players to coach and both did not have degrees so they could only be for 1 year. Coach Elander returned after he left to Europe. There are two coaches that coach Muz had to move on from. When your building a elite machine you must always be looking to improve. Thats what I love about our young coach ...Never be satisfied...always trying to get better. The coaching staff at tOSU I belive is the hardest working staff in the country.
James Wisniewski and Andrew Cassels two former NHL stars had to leave do to not having a college degree. Coach Wisniewski and Coach Cassels never wanted to leave. Both coaches still stay connected to the program. Two coaches in 7 years were let go. In speaking with a player at tOSU they said Coach Muz want her young coach's ex. Coach Kline to get a few years under the program and then move on as a Head Coach. That's one way Coach Muz sees how to grow the women's game Coach the coaches!
(And I think I had noticed this before, but am reminded again today. If you go to the "roster" pages at the OSU web site to look at who the coaches were, say, three or four years ago, likely as not you won't find them listed there. LOL.)
Yes….not sure what that is all about, software or intentional. I feel like I’ve seen it elsewhere recently too.
At any rate it’s unfortunate because it erases history. Perhaps the info lives on another site but this is why college hockey stats.net was so nice. An archive of history in a plain format.
The rosters of the AWCHA champions aren’t accessible for example, other than Minnesota’s.
It was Harvard where I also noticed it. Lee-J doesn’t show as a 22/23 coach.
So one more time: they're either leaving because "it's time for them to become head coaches" or because Muzerall is "trying to get better". You want it to be both, but that makes no sense.

If you go to the "roster" pages at the OSU web site to look at who the coaches were, say, three or four years ago, likely as not you won't find them listed there. I guess once they leave, the OSU Ministry of Truth "corrects" the roster page for that year. LOL.)
As a general thing, and using the OSU roster page as an example, there is a web site called the Internet Archive that can be used a number of ways. One of their 'facilities' is the "Wayback Machine" where you put in (copy and paste, maybe) a URL and the Wayback Machine might have old copies of what that URL used to look like on given dates.
So you go to the Wayback Machine's page ( https://archive.org/web/ ) and have it look up http://ohiostatebuckeyes.com/sports/w-hockey/roster/ it will show you what that URL looked like on certain rather random dates when they happened to make a copy of the page. They have copies of the roster page going back to July of 2018. (Maybe OSU changed the roster page URL around then; otherwise it might have had even older copies.)
The Internet Archive also has free to download - legally! - movies, old TV shows, music, etc.
one more time WOW... let's see, so two former NHL stars that made millions of dollars playing hockey are going to go to college for 4 years just so they can coach at tOSU ummmm why? When they have a family and a life as a grown adult. Both former coaches to this day are still visible.
It's takes time to get processes put in place. Coach Muz now has those processes in place. tOSU is a BIG machine and everything takes time.
50 percent of coach's in today's world have NO part of being a coach.
Nothing is black and white as one poster seems to only see.
Please give me examples of coaches that left the program that should not have? And maybe I can slowly walk you through what happened

Seems like a really stupid move by Calamity to hire a coach without the proper degree to coach for her team.
So you wouldnt want your daughter to be coached by 30 years of NHL experience ??? Wow ... I would love to have my daughter be coached for two years by NHL minds vs a 22 year old that has never experienced that level of hockey.
I spoke to both of them ... Coach Andrew Cassels left to watch his son play in the Blue Jackets organization and to raise his other young children. So going to college, coaching and raising a family and other responsibilities would be nuts ... I was proud of our coach for even having the recurring ability to get such an accomplished person to take the job.
Coach James Wisniewski at the time couldn't go to school at the time as he has 4 children under the age of 9 and was moving his family out of state.
Coach Peter Elander left to return to Europe only to return the tOSU and boy are we happy to have him and his family back!
