Wcha 2022-23

The Gophers announced back in October that the WCHA Final Faceoff will be televised on Fox 9+. Perhaps other outlets will pick that up in other markets.

The Wisconsin web site now indicates that the UW-Minnesota game will be on "TVW". Last year for the WCHA final four, that translated into one of the alternate over-the-air digital channels to the local CBS affiliate, WISC; channel 3.2 And the game also shows on the schedule for channel 3.2 on the WISC web site.

Are you sure? Last year, only the WCHA played on Sunday, and the WCHA final is on Saturday this year.

All I know is the ESPN schedule on the link I shared says there's a 7:00pm championship game but gives no details. I haven't look at each conference's websites to check.

Muzzy co-coach of the year with Idalski? Watts a joke. Idalski did what no one expected, while Muzzy did what everyone expected. Complete disrespect for what Idalski did this year. J Johnson deserved more of a look for coach of the year than Muzzy.

Idalski? If he had a pleasant surprise, it was finishing above MSU. Oh, and ruining somebody's attendance event.

It's obvious now why you won't come to Columbus for a series. You're too afraid we'll point you out to her and she'll go all Hanson brothers on you! LOL!!!
Rumor has it there's going to be a snapshot of you behind our bench from the last game with you circled that's going to be posted in the girls locker room next season. (Wink)

You should tread carefully with your criticism of the muzzinator...Just sayin'

The last five times Duluth and Ohio State have played, it has been a one-goal game, with two of them going to OT.

So you expected them to not finish last? They won 9 games the year before, they won 18 this season. They won 4 wcha games last year, 11 this year. Last year they scored 65 and allowed 124. This season 87 for and 96 against. What did Muzzy do that was equal to that?

WI ruined their own attendance event. St. Cloud just happened to be on the same sheet of ice with them.

It would have been hard to finish below BSU this year; STU couldn't manage it in its second season of D-I. Idalski inherited some talent. I'd say more talent than the other teams in the bottom half, especially once Wilgren got injured.

Wait...Is Worthington suited up for UMD because that looked like a play #5 for the Gophers would make...

1-0 Yuckeyes with a hugh assist from UMD's defenseman Bell.

And then just as I'm typing another hugh assist from a UMD defenseman, this time Flahrety. 2-0 Yuckeyes who are literally being handed this game by UMD.

Much the same as last year in the national championship game.

UMD get one late with the Goalie pulled. 2-1 with about 2:40 seconds left...

UMD takes a penalty with just a few seconds left...

And it goes final...2-1 for the Yuckeyes. A big thank you to the UMD Bulldogs for their work to put the Yuckeyes on top in this one.

Which Ryhorchuk calls holding for some reason. The offending arm is holding her stick, which she is using to play the puck, which a player is allowed to do. Call it a trip, and it makes sense, but we have officials who don't even seem to know the rules, or else they are just never in position to see what is happening. In this particular game, they called a bunch of things in the first half of the game, and then quit calling anything. Mostly, the calls they made weren't inaccurate, although they could have taken the diver as well on the second UMD penalty. Pankowski saw that one the way I did.

Was that the penalty on #17 for UMD? If so that was a decent dive by the Yuckeye player.
