At least you got to play a couple of unfamiliar opponents. For UM, it's been SCSU, UMD, and tOSU all five times, St. Thomas six times, and now here comes UW for six. It would be nice to go to a national tournament and not feel like it is deja vu from October.

lol....I wish the Gophers could play LIU in the postseason like the Badgers!! jk...I know what you mean!

You just needed to lose a couple more regular season games, and drop to the #6 seed.
I could say that UM could have won a couple more games and seen tOSU's spot in the bracket, but I think that UMD was always going to be headed to Minneapolis.

No, if Minn wanted to play LIU. They had to go to #6 to earn that honor.

I'm just waiting to see the thread declaring Western teams like Minnesota are so scared of playing quality non-conference games, they won't even schedule good Eastern schools in the postseason...

When will we know if UW/UM get the 2:30 game next Friday or the 6:00 game? The official UW schedule page says 6:00 pm, but I'm not sure if that's final or not. I hope we get the early game - beer league for me is 7:45 next Friday, so if we have the later game I will only be able to watch the first two periods.

Badgers and Gophers will play the night game

I got an email from the Alumni Association pitching a "Frozen Four Tour Package". It DOESN'T include transportation to Duluth, and it DOESN'T include game tickets. For $1200, they make hotel reservations for me, and buy me brunch and a cocktail reception.

I think I'll pass.
