Of course. I am not disparaging 538 or Nate...just think they are the wrong tool for this specific instance. As I have said about a dozen times since 11/2, they pretty much nailed it in their last write up before the vote. They warned that if the shift happens in the vote like it did in 2016 Biden would win, it would be interesting and the Dems would likely lose the Senate. It happened, and I will go to my grave thinking what they cant seem to define is that "Trump Voter" is != GOP voter. Trump has a fandom that is not part of conventional polling. They aren't "silent" they just aren't engaged outside of when he is on the ticket.

When you can't trust the polls (and we can't obviously right now) then any real meaningful analysis of the polls is rather moot as well. But I would loe to pour a whiskey and sit down with that crew and see what their guts tell them and what their feelings are on all of this!

Yep, I think you are right. Something is happening with the Dumpies -- either they are lying in both the pre-election polls and in the exit polls, or they aren't being reached for whatever reason, or they are so mentally incompetent they actually are not competent to be polled. I assume they are just so nuts they refuse to be polled and that opens up a large undercount of their strength. But I don't expect that to go away for the GA reruns, now compounded by their anti-GOP butthurt, so I agree we are flying blind for as long as impotus is above ground.

Conservatives now embargo polling the way they have always embargoed education and bathing. We will probably need to use offsets rather than direct polling to anticipate from now on. Basically, you take that bloc as a given for 100% fascism, then you poll everybody else for real and determine whether the righty inanity has a shot in a given election based on past results.

Hopefully everybody else will eventually steer clear of the derp and that 35% will always lose 65-35.

So what is the conservative angle here for eliminating section 230?

I just see this as hurting their messages (lies) more than helping them. I know what they say in public, but what is the real motivation here?

Honestly I think Dump doesn't understand and got a wild hair up his enormous behind, and now the rest of the conservatives have to cater to his drooling idiocy.

I agree that if providers start being held liable for lies on their platform that ends the Right as a presence on the internet. What else is the Right but belligerence, bullying, death threats, and lying? And that's just their Congressmen.

It's almost worth it (it's not worth it).

Mitch just blocked unanimous adoption of the 2k. At least the 116th was fun.

as much as they all claim to hate DC, they sure as hell ain't giving up their seats if they can help it.

Donny only cares because Twitter started labelling his lies. He was allowed to say and do anything he wanted but Twitter got sick of the reports and being dragged on TV about it so they changed their rules. That lead to Donny crapping his diaper and the Cons being forced to fight alongside him.

The best is when people on Parler talk about it...they don't realize Parler will be one of the first to change its rules because of the people who use it. Its just stupid...

Yeah, but 230 would have basically forced Twitter to ban trump. I think Kep has it right. Dump is too stupid to understand it and the Right has to fondle his balls.

What I don’t get is how that idea got planted in Dump’s head. It had to start somewhere. And no one on the right would have put it in his head unless it was some sort of lefty inception.
