Now the legal drama will center around bankruptcy and the shell game. 25 years ago, a plaintiff could follow the debtor to bankruptcy court and get the claim dismissed from the bankruptcy petition if it was for a tort like intentional misrepresentation. I don't know if such an exception to dischargeable debts remains and, if so, if it might help these plaintiffs.
