BU 2021-22: Albie's Great Adventure

Well BU went full idiotic with their new fan policy....now you have to have a Booster to get into games from Feb. 4th onward? Have the idiots in power realized that the vaccines are an abject failure and don't do anything to prevent transmission? It didn't work the first time, or second time, or third time but keep trying.... Did these "educational" institutes ever put their political bias aside and follow the common sense science? I am not anti-vax as I am vaccinated but I am not continuously getting boostered with the data that is now available. I know one thing for sure that BU isn't going to get me to another game this season so I will save my money.

Actually, the vaccines have overperformed what most expectations would have been in March of 2020. While not 100% they certainly do reduce the chance you will contract Covid as well as reduce the chance you will transmit it... especially after your third shot (Even in the face of Omicron). More importantly, they will help protect you and reduce the effects of illness should you contract the virus.

The names of 15 players allegedly invited to the Olympic team were leaked today. Warsofsky was on it. No word yet on whether he accepted, nor on when the remaining 7 spots will be filled.

What it does is to considerably lessen the effects of the virus. As in, you are much less likely to end up in the hospital. Or die.

In Massachusetts, you are 31 times more likely to get COVID if you are not vaccinated.

It does NOTHING in regards to transmission. If people want to get the vax to protect themselves then go for it. Is BU going to mandate flu vax to patrons next?

BU has no problem selling artery clogging foods and alcohol which are detrimental to health and safety of the public. If BU is so concerned with safety then doesn’t it make sense to eliminate the sale of alcohol right? The odds of ending up in a hospital from alcohol related issue is probably higher than being hospitalized for covid. All the patrons driving home would be that much safer right? Why not stop the overreach of ones medical decisions at an experimental vaccine that has been faulty at every step?

Sorry but your data is woefully inaccurate. Current data is showing it’s less than 30% effective. A far cry from the 97% they initially stated. Also, studies show that the vax does not reduce transmission of the Omnicron variant at all. “People who are fully vaccinated against Covid yet catch the virus are just as infectious to others in their household as infected unvaccinated people, research suggests.” Guardian study.

So don’t go anymore… problem solved.

Oh you are one of those anti vax nitwits… I understand now.

Actually data is showing when boosted effectiveness against infection is somewhere around 70%, but believe whatever you want and enjoy the games from your live stream.

*Insert GIANT facepalm GIF Here*. Don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way out of the building.

Back to hockey: Hockey this weekend! My boosted ass will be in my seat in Section 113 with bells on. Yeah, I know we still suck, but I'm looking forward to watching live hockey again. I have no idea if AZ State is any good (I guess I could go look it up. : ) ). - Here's to just enough suck that we get a new regime next season.

BU Hockey: Boosted!

ASU swept Cornell last weekend I believe. Should be fun!

You are one of those illiterate nitwits....can you read? I am double vaccinated as I stated. Enjoy your 5th booster because the other 4 didn't work....and your 5 masks. Keep listening to the dumbasses who have been wrong at every turn....little sheep.....baaaaaaaa.

Stay classy!

Who was that team wearing the BU sweaters tonight?

I know Arizona State isn’t the most quality opponent, but they did sweep Cornell last week. We’ve struggled against lesser teams. Things looked very solid in all zones and we got the goaltending we need. Loved the breakouts and passing. I guess that’s how you win 7-1. More of this please!

Maybe somebody can point me to where I can watch Sat. night game? I went to the BU website, it pointed me to a link to watch the game. All it said was game pending up to 11pm, same for CHN & USCHO websites. I was checking scores of other game at 11:15 pm & those sites showed game over with final score. I had figured game had been postponed due to Covid or something. Apparently not. So what website should I go to for tomorrow night's game? Thanks in advance.

I went from the "Go Terriers" site to the TV camera link to the CBS Sports website to Bernie and Linehan (as always!). Looked like no one was there as you can imagine during a Winter Break game, but good to watch.

Looking forward to tonight and better luck in connecting in!

after tonight a split will appear horrible. Good luck

Ahhhh... no. How often do we see a close second game of a series following a lopsided win in the opener? For example, BU's first series with ASU in 2018: 8-0, followed by 4-3.

Given that ASU 1) flew cross country for this series, 2) recently swept #14 Cornell and Clarkson, and 3) has two skaters in the national top 10 in points (plus Johnny Walker), I'd expect a closer, more competitive game--as O'Connell said after last night's win.

Not giving Arizona State the travel excuse
They have been in Boston since Wednesday and travel long distances every other weekend
Just scheduled an additional game for Tuesday at Northeastern so becoming residents

BU though may have played best game of year last night- strong at both ends

First time I can ever remember without any band members

Before they swept Maine at Agganis last season it had been 11 years since BU had last swept an opponent in a weekend series during the regular season. They've done better in the postseason, sweeping quarterfinal series at Agganis in '13, '15, '16, '17 and '18. If I counted correctly that's just 7 out of the last 25 series at Agganis that they've swept.
