It's worse. Well, not, worse, but more absurd. These people getting jacked at the border are here on J-1 visas.

Apparently there is going to be litigation (finally!) because they just dud an expedite removal on a woman who would have been a Harvard visiting professor and Harvard said "yeah, well, that's just your opinion, man." Hopefully all the fascist stuff comes out during discovery. They can hide some of it behind "national security" but all the memos and emails are FOIAble.

My wife was saying last night, "I want to be subpoenaed." Having been on the business end of her prosecutions hundreds of times I don't envy whatever creep CBP puts up against her.

I hear a lot of blame of social media going around now. Social Media did not exist when Jerry Falwell started the Anti Abortion movement. It barely existed when Republicans let the Assault Weapons ban expire. Social Media isn't really the issue. Social Media has only served to reveal everyone's true selves. This is America. Susan Collins and Joe Manchin are America.

A friend of mine is a college professor in flyover country. Her ex husband is an absolute Neanderthal and is very, very obviously threatened by anyone (particularly non-white dudes) that is smarter than he is. He "doesn't believe in international travel", for example.
