If they're the guys who waged Donnie Two Scoops insurrection boogaloo at the Capitol, they're gonna be the same pathetic losers that they are here in the US, only with shttier jobs and even less disposable income. Still be able to beat their wife and kids though, but would have some difficulty practicing their racial prejudice in Putin's lily-white Russia. Maybe they can road trip to Chechnia or some other more ethnic member of the former USSR when they feel like bashing some muggles.

US presidents are required by law to transfer all of their letters, work documents and emails to the National Archives.

But officials say the former president illegally ripped up many documents.

Some of them had to be taped back together, the Archives said.

It has also emerged that 15 boxes of papers that Mr Trump should have turned over when he left the White House were instead taken to his home in Florida.

They include letters between Mr Trump and the North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and the presidential handover letter from Barack Obama.

Mr Trump has clashed with the National Archives in the past. He unsuccessfully sued in an effort to prevent the transfer of White House records to a congressional committee investigating the January 6 riot on the US Capitol.

In a statement, Mr Trump acknowledged cooperation with the National Archives.

"The media's characterisation of my relationship with NARA [National Archives and Records Administration] is Fake News. It was exactly the opposite! It was a great honour to work with NARA to help formally preserve the Trump Legacy," he said.

Keep in mind Trump had the greatest relationship with the National Archives in the history of the United States.

At the very least, since N Korea was given most favored nation status.
 
Also, from Maggie's new book( wonder why she couldn't tell us this at the time) WH residence staff had to deal on numerous occasions with residence toilets clogged up with paper with typewritten content on them, that had apparently tried to have been flushed.

No wonder Donnie was so obsessed with "toilets that you have to flush 10, 15 times"

At the very least criminals. At the absolute very least.

The elected leaders of this country are an absolute 5h!t-show of embarrassment. The republicans are criminals and traitors. And the democrats are feckless enablers.

Haul these people to courts in handcuffs and shackles and try them for their crimes. If juries of fellow Americans acquit them, oh well, it just gives us even better indicators of how fucked we are as a country. But maybe, just maybe, if you present people with the facts and the law and let them draw their conclusions, they will do the right things.

trump was apparently flushing documents down a White House toilet (fitting, isn't it) to the point is sometimes clogged. Clearly he and his staff (and his family) broke numerous laws. Yet they are almost all going to face zero consequence for their illegal actions. If the American people can't accept the truth, again, we are fucked as a nation and we should just let it die. But at least give those of us who CAN accept reality the chance.

At this point while the republicans are worse by light-years, I think I am more angry at the Democrats for failing to seize what may be the last, best chance to save this country as even a remotely functional democracy.

Almost entirely peaceful BLM protesters were met with continual violence and their protests did not have the potential direct and immediate economic impact of these "patriots." Give them a deadline to move and when they fail to meet it, start arresting them. And if they fight back, use overwhelming force to put them down.

We've spent the better part of this century bombing the fuck out of people who, quite frankly, have done far less harm to our democracy than these rightwing yahoos have done in just the last year. These a s sholes have all had plenty of opportunity to make their points, they have had plenty of opportunities to see reality, and they choose to continue to damage the country. Fuck them. They deserve nothing more. Remove them now.

Yeah, blocking highways with protests is bad.

Concerned citizens might have to show up with their firearms and take action.

You do realize this is happening in Canada right? Your two posts are blaming America for something that is happening in a whole different country. What exactly can we do to about truckers in Ontario it is up to Canada to figure it out.

Fade you are right though...the Canadians need to arrest all of these clowns and seize their trucks. They have been given a wide enough berth they have to now face the consequences for their "civil disobedience". (that is what they will call it) I am not sure what right to protest they have in Canada but by now they have to have gone too far.

Personally I hope this happens here...especially in one of those states where it is ok to attack protesters. I want some annoyed worker in Flo(R)ida to start shooting at these clowns for blocking traffic and protesting. Political affiliation won't save you when someone needs to get to work they have no problem killing their own.
 
If it wasn't for the protest itself I would say Trudeau should leave it up to the provinces...but now that would appear he is caving to the truckers so he needs to stand firm. The policies are popular he has little risk. Hell even most truckers don't support the protest.
