Brian Idalski it is.
Out of the available candidates, he probably has the potential for the highest immediate return on investment. It will be interesting to see what sort of physicality he will allow/encourage against opposing teams.

Anyone heard anything about who the new Syracuse coach will be. Looked at a few sites where the listing was posted and those now say the listing is no longer active. Either they have their coach or they are not accepting anymore applications??

interesting. You are probably aware, but assoc head coach Brendan Knight was named interim head coach at time of Flanagan’s retiring, and also got a pretty good endorsement from Flanagan when Flanagan retired. I don’t know anything but had assumed Knight will eventually be named head coach.
Syracuse hires Britni Smith (current Clarkson assistant coach) as their new head coach.

Yes congrats to Smith and well deserved like you say. VicB did you have an inkling about this?
I had no idea that she would get the job but after 8 years as an assistant to Matt D. there was some talk between some CCT fans as to why she had not gotten her own program. Now the question is who do they bring in to replace her? I would love to see Shannon D back behind the bench but I doubt that will happen.

new coach for the us national team.
Has this guy ever coached women in his life? Hopefully at the very least if there’s another pandemic or something he will be committed to the women enough to stick it out even if he has to wear a mask.
Kinda light on experience to be coaching an Olympic Team.

It very well might be a good thing to have a coach that has no affiliation to an existing women's NCAA program.
