That is why it is hilarious half of Parler's management is for the repeal of 230. If they get what they want they will be in for a WORLD OF HURT. There is no security or monitoring of that app. They pretend like they abhor violence but none of the violent threats get taken down in the name of free speech. There is also lots of people who use the sight who complain about identity fraud.

That is why (if you believe the CEO) they didn't use Amazons proprietary stuff to build the platform. Doing that would have made it much more secure and also probably would have had Amazon looking over their shoulder. That guy is such a fraud...he originally said it would take a week to get Parler back up cause they will have to rebuild it...now he is saying it will be like 24 hours. Whatever 2 bit server decides to house him will be even worse than what they have now. USCHO will run better ;^)
 
The only benefit of this weeks attack on the capital is Parler is TOAST and the President is off of Twitter forever. Without twitter he is nothing.

I can't even tell any more if these people are rock stupid or sociopathically hypocritical.

Twilio just cut ties with Parler, meaning 2FA or phone signup verification is down. You would be able to bypass needing a phone number/email by entering random digits, and possibly start botting depending on how good their captcha is. This could end horrifically.

Careful with Seth Abramson. He’s not very well respected among the rest of Legal Twitter. I’ve seen the word “fabulist” thrown around a lot to describe him.
 
I personally hate him. I swear 75% of his tweets are about some book he is writing.

Plus...I believe he is a BADger!

Twilio is desperately trying to be a legit security and video conferencing company (they've partnered with a few EHR systems for telehealth, for example), and being in bed with a cesspool like Parler would...

not further those goals.

Cumulus Media is f*cking huge. Here's a list of radio stations they own in the US. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_radio_stations_owned_by_Cumulus_Media

And they also own Westwood One who does a lot of sports production.

Too little, too late, but it's a big swath they're correcting...
