Again, I'm not trying to pretend he's a shoe-in, and I don't even know if he'd be my preference in an open field. But don't be surprised when the popular governor of the largest state becomes a big name in the conversation. That's just politics 101.

Also, pretty much any state with a big name Democratic governor is going to have the same issue. California is west coast liberals. New York is NYC elitists. Illinois is all Chicago gangland shootings. Until the Dems manage to pull a multi-term governor of PA or TX or OH out of their hats, the party might just have to learn to promote what they have and form their own storylines rather than try to play nice with the narrative that the GOP forces in.

Right, The Nominee will have all that heaped upon them whoever they are and however true or untrue the accusations are. I mean, somehow Mr. Moderate Joe Biden is the second coming of Marx.

But the middle; the voters that voted for Obama twice, Trump and then Biden (they do exist, I know many of them) won't vote for someone who's actual record is what the right says it is.

Tom Wolf is too smart and too comfortable to put his family through a presidential campaign, even though he's term- limited from running again in PA and seemed to have won fairly easily both times.

Was somewhere between an acquaintance and a friend with one of his daughters in college (same class and friend group, but didn't interact one on one a whole lot) so I followed his governorship a little more closely than I otherwise would've.

And Colorado had Hickenlooper for two terms and it looks like their current governor can win reelection this fall. Is the rest of the country cool with Colorado?

I would vote for Michigan Gov Whitmer, but I don't think she would have the appeal to win a general election.

You seem rather butthurt about this...

Again half the country thinks Biden is a Far Left puppet despite being nowhere close. What will they think of Gavin someone who actually is Far Left?

I agree with almost everything he says and would vote for him in a heartbeat and never regret it. I am not the problem though. To pretend he won't have troubles just because most of California likes him is being myopic.

I've seen TikToks from Europe that laugh at that. They repeatedly state how he would be a firm conservative in all their countries. And yet in the US, he's a "leftist lib."

Nothing like dumping your gross bigotry out on the table for all to see (and not be surprised by).

Consistent with him. A Man could have a stroke on camera and we’ll focus on the woman’s facial expressions or laugh.

Roy Cooper comes to mind
