I hear you, there is the off chance your travel could be affected, but you have a very good layer of protection so your chances of even becoming asymptomatically infected are quite low.... especially if you were spaced out with an air purifier. Evidently those are fairly effective if it was the right kind of purifier.

Fingers crossed for you but odds are you will be fine in all ways.

Friend is vaxxed but has some minor symptoms. He is overly stressed and a workaholic though so it might just be he is run down.

I'm less worried than before and appreciate the good vibes.
 
If you've been triple vaccinated against a virus with a 99.5%+, survival rate, still afraid of people with no symptoms of illness and you still want to strip other people of their freedoms and human rights so you "feel safe", then you have a serious problem.

A very serious mental problem that most likely won’t be recovered from any time soon.

So it's been 17 hours since I got my booster and just like shot 2, I feel like I was hit by a truck. Just like the normal flu. Oh, well- I have plenty of sick time.

Before I do a google, are there any known studies to figure why there's such a spread between reactions to the vaccine?

Handy- hoping for a good outcome!

I don't think the variety of reactions is particularly unique to the covid vaccines. Lots of people experience a day or two of flu-like symptoms after the flu shot and other common vaccinations. I think most of the "lots of people are reacting" is a mix of the fact that a zillion people are getting it in a short timeframe and pure observation bias, where we're all paying attention.
 
Best of luck Handy! I had my own Covid scare last week but think I am okay.

In Maine they have now called the national guard up to help hospitals and are preparing to ration care but there is no mask mandate or stay at home order. What an unbelievable disgrace. I really am sickened we are not doing more to keep people safe.

Should find out today. I have resigned myself to the fact that it is out of my control so whatever happens happens.

As for the booster I was fine after 2 days...girlfriend was screwed up for like 4 and really has never really gotten rid of some of the symptoms. She is also very run down because the school district is so short staffed they have her in a defacto assistant principal role despite her not being trained.

Most of the people I know are burned out on Covid and any order by General Mills would be ignored at this point.

Opposite experience, here. Everybody I know has just settled in. We know it's going to be at least through Spring and who knows if variants keep hatching. Everybody is being super careful at work after having come so far. We're all adamant about the few straggler covidiots we know that they stay the fuck away and they've given up thinking they can bluff it out.

I don't see any exhaustion; just resolve. We vaguely know there are still hotbeds of fucktards out in Flatland but who cares, they aren't getting through my door, they might as well already be under ground.

Keep this up another decade and really roll those numbers high. It's good for the species.

Appx 70% - 75% of the hospitalized patients in Maine have not been vaccinated. Appx 85% - 90% of ICU patients are unvaccinated.

Why would anyone want a stay at home order to protect people who (at least the majority) are too stupid to protect themselves by getting a free and easily available vaccine?

I see neither burnout as walrus describes nor resolve as Kepler describes. What I see is people realizing that if they are vaccinated (and especially if boosted) they can more or less live life normally while taking some easy precautions.
