We offer to help them to find new jobs and they turn away. We offer them a voice in politics and they fucking break into the Capitol, destroy it, steal stuff, threaten to hang 2/3 of the order of succession and pizz and ****e on the fucking floor. We literally shut our lives down over a virus to protect them, wear masks to try and open things up and make things a bit easier, make the vaccines easy to access all over the country and they fucking refuse to take it (despite them praising Trump for it) and assault people over masks. That isnt misguided...that is just being fucking Anti-American fuckheads.

Stop pretending we live in the "Good Ole Days" (which were never that good) and wake the fuck up Drew. The second the GOP gave these people an actual voice they infested everything and turned a party of Plutes into a party of straight up Fascists. They don't care about the rules, they don't care about society and they sure as fuck don't care about us. They want to burn the whole fucking thing down and do it in the name of an America that only existed in 1950s sitcoms and BS stories about the Old West. They assault cops with Blue Lives Matter flags for fucks sake. They don't live in the real world and they dont want to.

I mean it more in the sense that the vast majority of them were born into the life they lead moreso than they chose it. Let there be no doubt that there is a huge maturity deficit right now with them(among other things.) I think with a lot of them if they were raised by you or a lot of others on the board they wouldn’t be acting like complete knuckleheads. Maybe I’m way too big of softie.
 
Drew, we are not the ones yelling and swearing at school board meetings around the country, threatening school board members with violence simply because they are considering policies that we don't like.

We aren't the ones threatening public health officials with violence, simply because they are considering policies that we don't like.

We aren't hatching plans to kidnap and potentially execute governors of states simply because they enact policies we don't like.

But somehow, this political divide is all our fault. If only we would do more to understand them and their concerns. To reach out to them and understand why they feel the way they do. To placate them and their poor hurt little feelings, no matter how imagined?

What obligation do they have? Nothing? None of this is their fault? They're just poor downtrodden folk, tired and frustrated with the liberal elites always talking down to them? If only the libs wouldn't do that, then everything would be peachy? They're just worried about their jobs, and being able to feed their families. Economically anxious.

Well, most of those people arrested for Jan. 6 were pretty solidly middle class, many of them well above that. Good jobs, good incomes, nice suburban homes, many of them owned their own businesses. What were the issues that aggrieved them so? Why were they so angry, so hostile that they could be driven to do the things they did?

Open your fucking eyes. Oh, sorry, I didn't mean to talk down to you.

As I said, they aren't all poor ignorant rednecks who don't know any better. You do yourself a dis-service by labelling them as such, as well as glossing over the problem.

Talk about the elites talking down to them.

I’m sure most of them would absolutely HATE it, but in a lot of cases it’s true. Keep in mind I grew up in an area that now has a lot of hardcore Trumpers.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis announced Tuesday that the state's new surgeon general will be Joseph Ladapo, a UCLA researcher known for opposing evidence-based mask mandates, vaccine mandates, and lockdowns.

Instead, Dr. Ladapo advocates for the controversial idea of embracing "the reality of viral spread" to achieve herd immunity.

"Florida will completely reject fear as a way of making policies in public health," Ladapo said in a press conference Tuesday after DeSantis announced his appointment. Fear, he said, has "been unfortunately a centerpiece of health policy in the United States ever since the beginning of the pandemic and it's over here. Expiration date: it's done."

At this point, it’s up to people like you to do something about it, not the rest of us who have tried for decades to point out the folly in their votes.

But voting with the NRA, churches, and whatnot for single item votes has pushed that from ever changing. Given that YOU have voted for single items, this is your fault, not ours.

So go talk to them about how they need to be mingling with people outside their spectrum, and then everything will be ok.

We've been trying for 40 years to help them make better lives, and they just yell, " fuck off Commie socialist" , so why don't you put all your concern and " I read a good article" to work.

NY, NJ and MA were hit early and hard and have an older demographic than the south, which would explain their presence in the top 10. The rest of the states there have zero excuse, and most of their deaths are very very recent.

No you just see yourself in them. If they looked different than you or didn't believe some of the things you do you would see them differently. Bias plays tricks on us.

I am not saying you are racist, but your bias is preventing you from seeing the truth. It is no different than how every Blonde White Girl who goes missing is a fucking tragedy and every time some White Fuckwit kills 20 people cause some chick wouldn't give him a handjob in High School we have people asking "What could have caused this? What went wrong in his head?" Its why judges give White Kids lesser penalties (they are good kids who don't deserve to have their futures destroyed) and why White Cops treat White criminals with kid gloves in comparison to Black Criminals. (you ever notice White People aren't beaten and killed for "not complying") Its because to "There but for the grace of God Go I..."

In other words...if these people had a tan no one would give two craps.
