Yeah, but it's not like the guy's wife was likely any different. So being doomed to stupid parents is better than being doomed to being raised by a single stupid parent.


Which is not to say you can't be raised successfully by a single mom or dad.
 
As a queer, I'm also delighted over the "private businesses can do what they want" crowd fuming over companies declaring "get the vaccine or you can't work here."

I think I read in MO they are leaving "COVID" off death certificates to prevent upsetting the families.
 
Apparently recent covid spikes are primarily due to illegal immigrants. At present the U.S. has 5,771,597 known active cases. If one of these mouth-breathers think illegals represent even 1 half of a percent of those they're a moron. And with that they'd know they’re not even remotely close to being measurably responsible for recent trends.

They've said that about literally every variant so far. Even alpha, for which the vaccines were excellent against in the population.

Since February of this year death rates have been at pre March 2020 levels, aka normal rates. Feel free to figure it out.

To some extent, but that doesn't affect best practice to keep masks on, social distance, stop super spreader events, and for god's sake not throw the psychotic tantrums DeSantis, Abbott, and Ducey are to pander to their diseased, dying (albeit not quickly enough) Dumpies.

We've had plenty of chances to cut this off at the knees and end it- preventing more variants. But people who seem to be bored or upset or whatever keep letting this just keep going.

That, and people who call the change in info and status mixed messages instead of recognizing that the situation is STILL fluid are not helping. The worst is when the former and latter are the same people, using the excuse of the message change as reasons do stop doing stuff because of reasons.

In other words- much of this is brought on by people refusing to do stuff.

There's a TikTok making its rounds that says that the Spreadnecks should all be in favor of the vaccine because:
-The vaccine is made from the blueprint of Covid, so it's like our body is building the wall, yet Covid paid for it already.
- The vaccine is like giving each blood cell a tiny gun, but the only blood cells that can actually carry said gun are white blood cells.

I fully agree with this... but sending out a message of "brakthrough cases will be very common" will not help convince anyone to get jabbed. If anything they would use that as confirmation bias that the vaccine doesn't work so why get it.

(I also want to add that I don't think your are crazy or lying about the breakthrough cases you know.... I just think that the message of if you get vaccinated it is unlikely you will catch covid is still an accurate and responsible one - and the data as we know it seems to bear that out)
