It's interesting to read the stories about getting vaccinations- as we have learned over the past year, we are very blessed and lucky. Neither of us are rushed to get a vaccine, as the only significant thing it could help is us going to a relative's graduation this spring. But we've already decided against that- as it just increases our exposure in a manner that we don't need to do- it's heart breaking that we can't go, but it's ok.
So we are just going to wait it out for our turn.
In terms of schools- teachers in MI are on list 1B here- so they are getting done now, so schools can reopen in late March (in theory). It was interesting to see a report that a school was the source of a huge outbreak somewhere- just like the cold and flu every year. Shocking. And we've seen more than one outbreak start from a bar or restaurant. What sucks is when the bad ones don't do anything and start a major breakout, which shuts down all of the good ones. I wonder how many good, rule following, massive investment to change the air handling, restaurants had to close because the bad ones keep them closed.... It's an industry that can't police themselves, as there's no way for the good ones to have any impact on the bad ones.
Anyway. still planning around social distancing for the majority of 2021, which means all of the new things we figured out last year we are doing again- travelling around locally and using an travel trailer vacation.
