Do you actually think that people who will steal your vote are going to care if you assemble peaceably seeking redress of your grievance? Once they steal the election from you they don't need to listen to you anymore. We are inching closer and closer to civil war.

Right but it isnt like Whitmer is just going to stand idly by as the Leg overthrows the will of the people. She will send the "proper" electors which will cause challenges when the Electoral Count happens. Even if the SC says she doesn't have the right to do that the House of Reps will recognize it and challenge the GOP Electors which shuts down Congress.

That is even assuming the Leg chooses to select GOP electors. I mean I am not sure it is in the best interest of the State of Michigan to basically force Detroit to leave. Ranks up there with Penn forcing Pittsburgh and Philly to leave.

But hey what are we worried about...our TDS is getting out of hand. Meanwhile the world is basically watching us kill ourselves. Cant stop a pandemic and cant even get a bunch of losers to admit they lost.
 
In case anyone missed it he also fired by tweet the guy in charge of elections.
 
Just hearing on CNN, reporter from the WaPo says the MI Majority Leader says Joe Biden won the election in MI, and under Mi Law, the state has to award the electors to the winner of the popular vote.

Vote isn’t until Monday. Remember how what’s his name backtracked so fast on his statement that Biden should be getting briefings? Plenty of time for Ronna and co to threaten him

Well that clown was from Oklahoma so it is a bit different...but yeah I wouldnt bet any money on that guy holding that opinion on Monday. Trump and his cronies will be throwing the kitchen sink at him.

Michigan has problems just like any other state with too many republicans in positions of authority, but I'll tell you one thing, I'd take their governor over mine. She has more balls than every member of trump's family.

Sounds like someone told Wayne County GOP what’s going to happen if they pull this shit.

They just voted to unanimously certify the results.

Well, it would. Per the constitution each state gets to select *one* state rep to vote for the President. Since more states are controlled by R governors and/or R legislatures, a US House of Rep vote for President would fall (likely) along party lines.

And... that decision would be made by the 117th Congress that starts in January, not the current 116th congress.

Except it wouldnt get to that point unless both candidates fall below the threshold to win. So for example if it was a 269-269 tie then it goes to the House for the vote. They would need to have a lot of states de-certify to get to a point where Biden doesn't have the majority and by then you are talking Civil War anyways.

If Michigan just holds off they either dont send electors at all (which lowers the threshold) or both sides do and it becomes a Constitutional Crisis and the smart money is on President Pelosi.

To better explain what I mean...lets say all states certify but Pennsylvania. PA decides not to send electors instead of sending what will amount to 2 sets. (which is how it would play out) You would subtract 20 votes from the Electoral total (538-20 = 518) and it is now 260 to win instead of 270 to win. Biden still has over 260 so Biden still wins. They would need to eliminate enough states to get Biden's total down to 232 or less to force a House vote.

(note: I am not an electoral scholar this is based on what I have read, what lawyers have said, what election experts have intimated and what has happened in the past based on my 2-3 months of study on this in the wake of where we were headed. I could be way wrong and if I so I will of course admit it)
