Well, my daughter is at the United States Military Academy, so I guess we're not going to win the NCAA this year. Personally, I'm a born and raised UND Fighting Sioux fan and WMU is in our bracket. This video sort of puts the entire tournament in perspective. There are far more important things than a national championship, but it may be far more important (and meaningful), to some than others. Now everyone knows that I'd be perfectly happy to see WMU knock off Gwoz's boys (that should go without saying). However, should it come down to UND and WMU, I'm more inclined to say, let it be, what will be. If UND must lose, let it be here (and thanks for the video along with a taste of what's real and important).

Impressive stuff by the young men on the Western Michigan Hockey team! Very Inspirational (talk about understatements :D)! Thanks for sharing.

Bronco Hockey team, you will forever have my respect. That is an incredible story, and if I wasn't already pulling for you to win the whole thing I would be now. Absolutely incredible.

Well done Western Michigan! One of my son's nine year old soccer buddies is going through ALL, these situations are just so hard to witness but it's really nice to see a lot of people caring. Best wishes to Gideon and family.

And on a hockey note, congrats to Western Michigan on thoroughly dismantling my Wolverines last Friday. Very impressive effort.

Pure CLASS by the Broncos. I am a DU fan, but they have to lose I'm glad it will be to a team with such heart and compassion. I have a new team (other than the Pioneers) to follow and root for in the future.

College hockey really is great, and it's stories like this that help make it so great. I've met lots of great individuals over my years following college hockey. I've even met some players who were absolute punks on the ice, but when they got off the ice, they'd be the nicest individuals ever, talking to little kids and doing heart warming things such as this. Coach Blashill and the WMU community should be very proud of these individuals.

There are other great stories like this. One of the Merrimack seniors who doesn't get to dress as much anymore because of the improved talent of the team has befriended a handicapped young man (I hope I'm saying that in the right, not trying to be derogatory) and given him a jersey and brought him around the team and to the home games.

I'm sure there are plenty of other great stories out there. I will also be cheering for WMU to come out of the Green Bay regional.

Like another Sioux fan said earlier, if it's not going to be us, I hope it's WMU. Totally awesome group of guys to do all that.
