Oh what the hell, why not?

Season 14 (or 15, depending on how you look at it) starts June 13th at 9 PM on TNT. Hope it's at least decent, for all the promotion.

Brent - you are a fan of Mad Men, which I argue is, at least in part, a night-time soap rife with drinking, martial infidelity, 2-3 antagonists, hot chicks, business, and at least one baby out of wedlock. ;)

I am BEYOND excited for this show. It it's 1/10th the show the original was, I will be happy. Already season passed on the TiVo.

I took it to mean traditional soaps; otherwise every drama show could be considered soaps. Even today's "WWE" is considered a soap opera for men. :p

tSBFitW had an arrangement of the theme song which treated the clarinets to sixth octave F's and G's. Tied whole notes. (In layman's terms, EAR-SPLITTINGLY HIGH PITCHED SQUEALING NOISES, borderline out of range for an average clarinet/clarinetist.)

It got played about three times, after which every other section of the band walked up and kicked Nick Enz in the junk.

It's pretty easy for me to picture this. :D

'Rumpets and 'Bones would've had the majority of the melody, I figure.

The positive reviews are encouraging, but most of those people are being paid to talk it up. Frankly, the J.R. character pretty much made the original series what it was. Assuming Larry Hagman is relegated to a minor role, the younger cast is going to have to really impress me. We'll find out soon enough.
