Worlds Announcement

OnMAA

Vort Doen.....Heija Heija Heija
Word on the street up here is that Ottawa, site of the first event back in 1990, will be hosting the 2013 Worlds. Formal announcement expected today.

That would be great for those in the North Eastern US, Ontario and Quebec. Both the 2012 (Burlington, Vt) and 2013 event in the "neighborhood". :)

Re: Worlds Announcement

Note that there is a link within the link above to pre-register for tickets. The main event is in the NHL rink that the Ottawa Sens play out of, AKA Scotia Bank Place, out in the west end of Ottawa. The Annual Ontario Provincial Championships (~400+ teams, 6 age levels, 5 tiers in each age bracket) will be held at the same time in the Ottawa region, so this will amongst other things ensure a lot of young fans in the seats.

I expect those tickets will get gobbled up fairly quickly. If it's anything like the men's side the Ottawa Sen's season ticket holders would have got first crack at them in advance.

Oh wait...Do the Sen's have any Season Ticket Holders left?
