In my super-brief bit of exposure to women's hockey, it seems as though there are broad divides in competitive culture with men vs. women. Also at different D1 women's programs. Winning isn't everything - but individual and team improvement equals success in the W/L columns. I am curious about the state of the state in setting the bar high with team goals (conf championships, national tourney invites) versus setting the bar high with individual or class goals. (seniors have a fun season, lots of playing time) not from coaching perspective - but former players. anyone?
