Women's Hockey News & Insight: The Hockey Writers "Fishwrapper" Thread

Note that they were made prior to the most recent weekend of results. While I mostly agree with your characterization, any ranking at this point requires a lot of guesswork.

They were the rankings from Friday, to be fair. Although ten bucks says they drop Wisconsin from the rankings entirely after last weekend.
Just the point Gents. Results don't seem to be a major consideration for Gaby. Or pertinent considerations associated with those results.

Guesswork for sure in Oct. I don't believe I'd ask Gaby to guess on my behalf in say...a typical coin toss though. ;)

I'm glad she has the interest and takes the time to cover the sport for sure.

I'm beginning to wonder if Gabs is a relative of Brooky the way she's being promoted here

they do have some of the same traits, bad predictions for example

BTW fishy & cupcakes = not a good mix

What did you think? I thought it was a very even game - could have gone either way.

It was a good game to watch, and yes, very even. I think if the game were played at Clarkson, the score would have been reversed.

Also - the play by play / color team is great.

Gabs tweeted before Christmas that she's leaving thehockeywriters to focus on At Even Strength. Halftime report here: http://atevenstrength.com/2014/12/22/ncaa-womens-hockey-midseason-rankings/
Thanks...I wouldn't have known since I don't tweet.

She has published news subsequent to the Dec. 5th column with The Hockey Writers
