Wisconsin Women's Hockey 2024-2025

She sure enjoyed the first one, but that being said it's impossible to know the intent of any player's actions. It's not even a slippery slope, it's a jump off a cliff.

Watching the series of events at the end of the championship game for the millionth time this morning :giggle:, I again notice a subtle bit that I don't think has really been mentioned, so I wanted to point it out.

The Badgers gain the offensive zone with about three minutes to play, and pressure Ohio State for much of the next minute. So the Buckeyes need a change of tired skates. At about 2:05. the Buckeyes manage to clear the puck, but only to center ice. And it's only to center ice, because Scannell gets a subtle little touch on the puck that keeps the puck from going farther down the ice. If Scannell doesn't get that touch on the puck, maybe Ohio State manages a more normal line change, doesn't screw up and get the too-many-skaters penalty.

No Scannell touch, maybe no penalty, no "gathering the puck", no penalty shot, and on and on...
