Eaves has to make a statement to this kid. I don't care what talent he has, he could be the next Pavelski but Joe never took DUMB penalties like that.

He should sit for 3 games and think about playing tough but CLEAN hockey.

We have three very capable players waiting to jump in the line up, so it wouldn't be a huge hit to the team

"If Smith gets another one in the next couple weeks he should be suspended for another series. He should of had one last night too. There's no reason for that. The guy has great talent, but is a complete bonehead at times."

Yeah, I agree. I think maybe more than one series would get to him?

3-4 games. Not only are they dumb penalties that could help the other team, but he could severely injure someone with that non-sense.

Yeah I guess he didn't learn his lesson from sitting the UNH series so maybe 3-4 games is necessary. If he does it again in a league game the WCHA is probably gonna come up with their own suspension.

yeah. the scarier thing to me is if he keeps this up his reputation will have the refs on edge and they may send a msg to UW and Eaves like they did to UW with Shawn Hill so many years ago, and C. Smith would be better off leaving at that point. but that's getting ahead of ourselves. For now I hope Eaves has a heart to heart with him and sits him 2 series, or at least 1 series and an extra game.
