Nit pick: people don't hate the Patriots. They hate the Patriots' fair-weather, front-running, insipid, basking-in-reflected-glory-to-hide-from-the-sadness-of-their-own-dead-end-lives fans.

The Pats themselves, meh, what's to hate? They're nutritious and tasteless, like a spinach salad. But nobody gets passionate enough about spinach salad to care about it either way.
