ARM

Fan of chipmunk-like mascots.
Pick the two teams that will meet in the Division-I Championship:

Great Minds think alike TimothyA. ;-) Or is it the thinner I am drinking to drown my ECAC sorrows?

Wisconsin/Minnesota I think is close to a coin flip, but I think UM is probably the slight favorite. I will be surprised if OSU has much trouble with Northeastern.

Are you scared of getting beat up by Muzzy, too? Because I can assure you that's what is driving his pick of Northeastern. Dave Flint doesn't know what Tim looks like.

The Muzzenator is built for single elimination hockey. Goalie riding a heater? The Muzzenator doesn't care. She'll just grind you down and double up on shots. She will absolutely never give up until she pulls off one of those four inch spike heels and buries it in the heart of your team.

I kind of figured one conference would be eliminated today but I didn't think it would be the ECAC. Surprised Hockey East still has a chip and a chair. They (NU) will have to beat two of the WCHA's best.

Looks like an imdending snowstorm for duluth thursday and friday. I was thinking about coming up friday and leaving saturday but I don't drive up there in a snowstorm. My wife and I also had work commitments that would have been tricky to get out of anyway. I'll just hold out that they can win the semifinal and I had up therefore the championship game.

The weather system that might produce that storm is as of this morning still in the Rockies. Might want to check the forecast a little bit closer to game time.

I watched a lot of games this year, but all were ECAC conference games or ECAC teams playing out of conference. On the basis of what I saw, I thought Colgate could go all the way....and maybe Yale if Dukaric got hot. In the end, however, once again one needs to take your hat off to WCHA. Despite the improvement in the ECAC, west is still best. It will be an all WCHA final.

I have to push back on this a bit. This is Northeastern's third straight trip to the FF, and they've won 22 straight games. Their top line is as good or better as what anyone else has, as is their goaltending. The obvious knock on the Huskies is that yesterday was their first game against the teams that made it to the NCAA quarters, but it didn't seem to hurt them any. The biggest obstacle is that they have to open against tOSU, who is a tougher semifinal opponent than they had the last couple of years, but maybe Mueller can lead them to great things.

ARM is usually right. I did not mean to disrespect the great Northeastern program, which is a serious contender here. I was mostly expressing disappointment with the ECAC and admiration for the ongoing dominance of the WCHA. I will be hoping for the Huskies to win it all!!!

Wow WI is 2-1-2 vs the rodents this year but the rodents have 15 votes to WI's 6. Interesting.

I think Minnesota is perceived as better than UW, but from the games I saw this year they are very evenly matched teams. I see Minnesota as a slight favorite going into the game, but only very slightly.

1. Disagreed with Timothy. Check.
2. Avoided the Vicb curse. Check.
3. Appeased the Muzzinator by overnighting a tub of Bazooka bubble gum to the team hotel. Check.
That just has to be her gum of choice.
