Re: What Industry Do You Work In?

Working as an intern for the Tennessee Smokies Front Office for the next month, then hopefully landing something in a Group Sales or Marketing/Promotions somewhere else in the sports world...

Re: What Industry Do You Work In?

I work for the Department of Veterans Affairs at the Cheyenne VA Medical Center.

It's a two-year federal government feeder internship that prepares me for full-time work for the VA. I pretty much do whatever comes up and help out the engineers and contractors where I can. I'll be working the first year in Cheyenne, then transferring to another facility for my second year, where I will stay. (Spots on my list include St. Cloud and Anchorage.)

Overall, pretty nice gig - it seems like they want me to stick around as long as possible, which is good in this economy.

Kepler forgot "research scientist"... I think there's a few of us floating around.

I grabbed a list from an employment census and did my best to make it germane. I thought I'd included science. My bad. :(

Us? You do stats. That's not science, that's manipulation of the truth...basically the opposite of science! :p

i'll remember that the next time you produce a report ;) "What do you mean that the experiments aren't exactly repeatable?"

I research new methods and investigate the application of known techniques in different ways. Sounds like science to me.

You're gonna let a guy, with a woman on his shoulder, ride you?
