Does anyone have any guesses as to whether or not MSU seniors Forfar, Grassi, Walrod and Hayes will have sad senior nights this coming Saturday or ... be all like happy and stuff.

Or as Dorothy Parker famously said when answering the phone, "What fresh hell is this?"

Looks like both teams are a bit unpredictable. Western has been struggling lately and both teams need to get into playoff mode quickly. Scoring (or lack thereof) has been Western primary weak spot while defense and goaltending has been their strength most games. I'm hoping for two good, hard fought games.

Goals will be at a premium this weekend with two of the nation's worst offenses are going at it. WMU has the 51st "best" offense, MSU has the 55th (out of 59).

My snarky prediction:
Fri - 1-1 tie (MSU wins shootout 1-0)
Sat - 0-0 tie (WMU wins shootout 1-0)

You're too kind. I'm predicting on Friday by the second smoke break, a derisive parody of the "Everybody's" break-down will be executed in Section D.

We'll be too anesthetized to care.

In all honesty, this series really worries me.

Sans a sweep at home in the '09/'10 season, you guys have absolutely owned us. More recently, we've thrown tons of shots on net, but couldn't get anything past Yanakeff (last year) or Hildebrand (GLI).

12/29/12: 1-1 tie (WMU outshoots MSU 32-23)
11/12/11: 4-2 MSU (WMU outshoots MSU 30-23)
11/11/11: 3-2 MSU (WMU outshoots MSU 40-16)

I really don't see either team getting more than 4 points.

:eek: This may forever be remembered in CCHA annals as the Sandbag Series.

Anyway it'll be cool to have Chelios on one side of the arena, Murray on the other.
