No, it isn't April yet, it is a legitimate link :( - but "The decision does not preclude future consideration of hockey as a varsity intercollegiate sport."

The article makes it sound like maybe they were just too far behind to add it next year. They still might add it in future years. Though, I imagine they would have said that rather than making it a hypothetical possibility.

Unless they are merely taking a more vague stance to allow more "breathing room".
