West Quarterfinal - Adrian at SNC

GB Puck Fan

It's A Great Day For Hockey
Well, well, well. We meet again.

These teams split in De Pere a few weeks ago: 10-1 for SNC, 4-1 for Adrian.

SNC on more of a roll than Adrian, I would say. IIRC, SNC has allowed just three goals in the last eight games.

Hammer - you coming?

Re: West Quarterfinal - Adrian at SNC

Sorry, but I can't. This funny thing called "tax season" puts an end to that. :(

Re: West Quarterfinal - Adrian at SNC

Your thoughts? Rather play SNC or go east? Just happy to get in? Will the layoff be an issue? Glad no Wednesday game or not?

I don't know that revenge is much of a factor - you're playing for a spot in the final four and that should be enough - but I wonder if the 4-1 loss the last meeting will be any incentive for SNC.

Too bad you can't make it over. Will Adrian do some sort of fan bus? Of course, given the condition of Lake Michigan, could drive across the ice and save a few hours...

Re: West Quarterfinal - Adrian at SNC

The selection show was tough to watch for a couple minutes. When Oswego and Geneseo showed up on the board, but no Adrian, I was a bit nauseous.

As for the game...not worried about the layoff, and not too worried about not dealing with the East, either. With this bracket, there's 2 final four teams from the West, and given the way this weekend went, that's probably about right.

Revenge should not a factor at all. There's a trip to the national semifinals at stake. If that alone doesn't get your attention, the result will show itself on the scoreboard at the end of the night.

Re: West Quarterfinal - Adrian at SNC

Just saw a tweet from the NCAA that Karl Olm has been assigned to the SNC/ Adrian quarterfinal.

I don't know whether to laugh or hit you with a shovel.

Re: West Quarterfinal - Adrian at SNC

I feel like it ended up 1vs3 and 2vs4 as far as the teams in the West because of the 500 mile rule but no real complaints. I'm looking forward to Saurday.

Re: West Quarterfinal - Adrian at SNC

Hey Hammer, the East can send you guys Derek Sylvester, Olm can't be much worse than him.

Re: West Quarterfinal - Adrian at SNC

I'm both excited and anxious for this game. In the past two meetings, SNC was the better team, when they played like it. Friday's game was a very well played domination in all aspects of the game. Power play, penalty kill, for check, defense.... All were top notch. Saturday was a different story. SNC played good in the first, and forgot how to play in the second. This is the only part of the Knights that worries me. They can all of a sudden stink it up. When that happens even a team like Lawrence has beaten them. They can't do this against Adrian and expect a win. They need to perform in all aspects of the game, but the biggest thing is being defensive up and down the ice. Skating to the net really helps them out too, but it seems they opt for one timers too often. All in all it should be a great game though and I can't wait.
