Well, one of these teams has to score a goal - RPI vs. Maine in Belfast

Each team has scored a total of 30 goals on the season - but it's getting harder for both of them to remember what it's like to put the puck in the net. RPI and Maine are both coming off consecutive shutout losses.

Hope the Engineers rediscover their scoring touch first.

Have to question the thread title. It could end up a 0-0 tie since there will probably not be a shootout in a third place game.
Let’s hope we can get our scoring touch back against a team that actually does give up goals. LGR!! :)

Re: Well, one of these teams has to score a goal - RPI vs. Maine in Belfast

I was assuming that they would use a shootout if the teams were tied 0-0. Don't see why they wouldn't - it's not like a shootout would take up so much time that they'd have to delay the start of the championship game.

I guess if it turns out that I've messed up on the prediction that the over/under will be greater than zero, Ralph may have to take a point away from me. ;)

I won't. :)

BTW, I will probably miss the game although I could be home before it ends. Take good notes. :)

Maine hasn't scored a goal for 6 consecutive periods. Both Maine and RPI have good goal tending.

Any chance that Perry gets the start today? If he is not hurt, I think he should get back in the net. Marshall has been very good the last two games, but wasn't Perry supposed to be our number one goalie?

Any chance? -- yes. However I think that Coach Smith goes with the hot hand.

If we win or are ahead when I return, I may never post on one of these threads again.

I'm sure it's possible. The non-league games are now pretty much meaningless for us. Zero chance for at-large, so why not give some of the regular non-dressers a chance to prove themselves.
