Weekend Scores 12/1-12/7

Play opens up tonight with St Lawrence at Clarkson 6PM Central time.

Clarkson's video feed is free, I believe. They get a day off and then St Lawrence hosts on Saturday. Big series. If St Lawrence can sweep they are really going to start to look serious

I don't think they will. I got Clarkson taking one of the games, a tie at least.

Re: Weekend Scores 12/1-12/7

CLK 2, STL 2, early 3rd period

EDIT: Make that STL 3, CLK 2, with the Saints retaking the lead just 34 seconds after the Knights had tied it up.

Re: Weekend Scores 12/1-12/7

Clarkson scores with 29.1 left in regulation. 3-3.

EDIT: Ooooooooovertime.

The definitely deserved it, having outplayed St. Lawrence for most of the 3rd. Finally got one to go.

Re: Weekend Scores 12/1-12/7

Ends in a tie. CCT their chances late in the OT, but could not convert

Re: Weekend Scores 12/1-12/7

FINAL: St. Lawrence 3, Clarkson 3

The game-tying goal was by Ella Shelton, who skated in pretty unchallenged and beat Grace Harrison cleanly, high glove side.

Clarkson looked like the better team at least late in the game. They seem to have a more balanced offense with three very good lines. They also have D that pinch in to the offense that are fast enough to recover. St-Lawrence's first line is very good and a lot of fun to watch, Marchment in particular. Look forward to the rematch.

Re: Weekend Scores 12/1-12/7

Colgate, Cornell, and Bemidji all have posted wins this afternoon...The Harvard woes continue being shutout this afternoon by Cornell

Re: Weekend Scores 12/1-12/7

Clarkson and SLU finish the regular season portion of their schedule 1-1-2. SLU's two ties @ Clarkson are offset(?) by CCT's road win today. Final was 4-1 Clarkson.

Re: Weekend Scores 12/1-12/7

Minnesota 2 Wisconsin 0

Shipper gets both goals, second was an MTN. Her 100th & 101st point as a Gopher. Dani Cameranesi got her 200th point on the first goal and injured a knee in a collision with a Badger during the second period & didn't return.

Interesting note in yesterdays Clarkson - SLU game. Clarkson is up 4-0 in the third and with a little less than 12 min to go in the third the SLU coach Chris Wells decides to pull the goalie Harrison and bang SLU scores. Wells spent the rest of the game pulling Harrison in and out of play to create a 6 on 5. He tried to keep her in when the Clarkson top line of Mercer-Pejzlova-Bannon line was on the ice. One time in the middle of a Clarkson line change to get the top line on, SLU made a line change that included putting Harrison back in the net. The play was in the SLU end and it was really strange seeing Harrison dash for the goal while the puck was being passed around in the SLU defensive zone. I know it's not the first time a coach has done this but I don't think I have ever seen it for such a prolonged period of time.

I am stunned that nobody has posted this almost as much as the score itself is stunning

Wells has done it for years, and he's had some success doing it. I looked into it a couple seasons back, and I think only John Burke at RPI is more likely to pull a goalie for an extra attacker, and that may be because he has more games where he is trailing.

Badgers take a 4-2 lead over the Gophers after one.
