St. Cloud will host Alaska-Anchorage
Minnesota will host Bemidji State
North Dakota will host Michigan Tech

If DU wins tomorrow:
Wisconsin hosts Minnesota-Duluth
Denver hosts CC
Minnesota State hosts Nebraska-Omaha
If DU doesn't win tomorrow:
Minnesota State hosts Minnesota-Duluth
Wisconsin hosts CC
Denver hosts Nebraska-Omaha
du and duper,
Not to ruin anyone's party here, but if DU wins today, they end up tied with both Wisconsin and MSUM. From the WCHA web site, in that event, the records in games between the teams is the first tiebreaker, and du beats wisconsin in that tb, by this amount:
Denver : 2-1-1 = .625
Wisconsin: 3-2-1 = .583
So, DU would be 4th, and host Duluth, not CC.
If DU loses, they face Omaha, as previously stated.
Now, if someone has something different from the WCHA office, it would be nice to see it.
If Denver wins Sunday then there is a 3-way tie for 4th. Taking the h2h series records we get Wisconsin +1 (1-0-1 vs Denver, 2-2-0 vs Minnesota State), Denver E (2-0-0 vs Minnesota State, 0-1-1 vs Wisconsin) and Minnesota State -1 (0-2-0 vs Denver, 2-2-0 vs Wisconsin). Wisconsin thus gets the #4 seed. Denver then gets the #5 seed over Minnesota State (2-0-0 series win). So a Denver win results in #4 Wisconsin, #5 Denver, #6 Minnesota State.
If Denver ties or loses tomorrow then they will finish #6 by themselves. The tie for 4th goes to Minnesota State over Wisconsin. They split season series 2-2-0, Minnesota State has more WCHA wins (16 to 13). So a Denver loss or ties results in #4 Minnesota State, #5 Wisconsin, #6 Denver.
Not true, here is from today's WCHA press release, they indicate with a DU win, WI gets 4th, DU gets 5th and MSU gets 6th. http://www.wcha.com/men/pres1213/201303/mar10wcm.php
Thank you. So, rather than doing a cumulative record, they use the individual team v team results, and tally them..Interesting.
That means, hypothetically, that it would not have mattered if Denver were 4-0 v Mankato.
