WCHA First Round Bemidji @ UNO

Drop the Puck!
Bemidji is the only WCHA team to sweep the Mavs this year posting a 3-0-1 record against them. This should be an interesting series I'm hoping the Mavs can get the monkey off their back and go not only to the final five but the NCAA tourney as well.

What happened last season and this one with the Beavs is something Coach Blais is sure to play up big time. He probably doesn't even need to.The players know.

That's why I think this is a GOOD match-up for us.

Revenge is a dish best served cold.

Ward, I'm worried about The Beaver.

I don't think BSU wanted to tempt fate again with Omaha, although BSU matches up better with UNO than, say DU. UNO wins in three, or Blaiser will probably cut the whole team and start from scratch. :)

Any BSU fans going? I think I know a couple, but I haven't talked to them since Sat. night... Wish I could make it, but I've got work (a HS basketball game) Sat. afternoon.

Wish I could, but we have some other functions this weekend..... At least I will be able to listen to the games. Does UNO have a video stream out on the web?

Scott bought it last time BSU was down there (I had HS games) and said it was pretty good. He thought it might have been the "video board" feed, so there were some production elements to it aside from just being a single center-ice camera.

edit - as I look at it, it's a America One/b2network type deal...

I guess we better be prepared to listen how BSU plays the trap. I just find it humorous that the UNO fans are the only team BSU has played this year that accuses the Beavers of playing the trap!

Not anything more then what was out there Saturday. I would venture to guess the BSU staff may play this one close to the vest.

Even with Read out, BSU showed they can still play on Saturday night against the Goofers.

Criminy, was at The Upstream downtown tonight and Beaver fan was already in evidence.

Last year's home series with them was one of the bigger opponent's fan showings I can recall until this season when North Dakota fan set new standards in that regard.

Sudden thought. Maybe our guys have you mixed up with ND since you both wear green. We looked pretty good playing them and splitting with them home and home this year (and shutting them out once) while getting pounded on like red-headed step-children by you guys this season.

I think Coach Blais plays up the "they kicked our a**" angle big time and has the Mavs ready to go for this one. He's been there, done this, a bunch.

Interesting that the 2 new members lined up against each other for the playoffs meaning only one can make their first Final Five appearance this season.
