WCHA Final Five: Hello Empty Seats

Re: WCHA Final Five: Hello Empty Seats

I really don't see anybody beating them this year.

Wisconsin took 3 of 4 points in Madison in the only two games the two teams faced each other. Not sure it's that clear cut that Denver will walk over this tournament.

Re: WCHA Final Five: Hello Empty Seats

I didn't buy Final Five tickets this year because I was counting on the Gophers not to make it. Anybody want to sell me a couple of tickets in the cheap seats at face value? 8th row on the ends would be awesome.

I know you disagree but I just don't see anybody beating DU. They are by far the best team in the conference. If they continue to get great goaltending look out for another National Championship.

Re: WCHA Final Five: Hello Empty Seats

Empty seats? ND, UMD, Duluth, and Wisconsin should all fill seats.

UMD/UND Thursday evening fills well.

So, having St Cloud and Wisconsin helps with the Friday afternoon, which only fills when MN plays someone interesting.

Evening of UMD/UND vs Denver should fill with package holders and various fans.

St Cloud and UMD/UND should do alright Saturday afternoon.

Outside of Minnesota not being there and Denver not having many fans in the area, it could have been a lot worse with Mich Tech, CC, and Alaska.

When was the last time there was no upsets? All top 5 teams are in.

Re: WCHA Final Five: Hello Empty Seats

All except Denver bring mucho fans. There will be empty seats, but I'm guessing it'll be more full than not. I will be at all games except the 3rd place game.

Yeah, it won't be record-breaking, but it won't be empty either - I bet a lot of Minnesota fans were planning to show up no matter what. Still though, face value or less is the order of the day.

I agree. My group usually goes no matter if MN is playing or not.

This year we are not going because a buddy of ours decided to get married on sat. :(
