Fixed your post.
And that's pretty cool.
Yeah, I didn't really read it through the first time, but now I see the top 2 both get 10 grand. So it's not really a contest (right now, unless Misenhimer pulls their goalie and scores a few quick ones).
I'm pretty sure with the paper mill closing, the school is the only real employer left in Ontonagon, and there's been talk about how far they could really bus the kids to consolidate with someone else. So the 10 grand will be either a great pick-me-up for them, or a huge waste of money if they build a new playground and then do shutter the whole town.
...possible new mining near Thomaston - maybe there'll be something going there.
GGGOOOOO Ontonagon!
Favorite city on my drive from Duluth to Houghton!
Another one here and spread the word to another pocket of potential Yoopers and other Michiganders I know of.One more vote for Ontonagon!
I almost always end up with a favorite in any somewhat lengthy drive. It is usually just the city with the coolest name.
For example: MSP-Chicago; Oconomowoc.
My buddies called it The Octagon. Because there like 3 turns with signs pointing west to it. The Octagon surrounds you!
Or a little town you stop by for fun. Like Duluth to Grand Forks; Fosston. Where I got a Charleston chew on the way there AND back

The code I had to put in was "The avocados"
I am now hungry.
Huh, you don't hear about people driving through Ontonagon on that trip. There are two advantages of the Ontonagon route over that through Bruce (Ciskie) Crossing though, despite the added distance:
-almost never any cops
-better roads - I may or may not have topped 100 from Mass City to Ontonagon... in a Geo Prizm...
