Villanova University Hockey Study

Dear current NCAA players,

I’m a former Yale hockey goaltender presently working on my master’s thesis in the Department of Psychology at Villanova University. For my thesis, I’m examining hockey players’ attitudes, self-perceptions, and behavior and could use your help with my research. The study involves completing an online questionnaire that should take 5-10 minutes to complete. The compensation for participation is one chance in a drawing for a $100 donation to a charity of your choice, so as to comply with all NCAA amateurism regulations. Your choice regarding whether or not you participate in this study will not impact your status on your team, of course. The link to the online questionnaire is below. I hope you consider participating. I would really appreciate your help!

Re: Villanova University Hockey Study

I have a question... I work in relation to surveys (research math statistican).... Knowing about issues of statistical control what general purpose does Internet self-report surveys sans sampling scheme or frame serve?

Prospective research? As in, digging for ideas?

This isn't meant to be critical but rather curious. I work across the hall from survey methodologists and the like. Drop me an email through the message board system if you don't want to respond publicly.

Good luck!
