UW-Stout offseason thread

Re: UW-Stout offseason thread

Only if they aren't any good. I kind of like the strategy if they can play.

While this is not an identical situation, look what Norwich did. That Freshmen line was down right amazing. All from the same junior team and they had played together as a line for years.

Some people underestimate chemistry. I could see chemistry between Knoepke, Carr, Grimstad last season. Knepper and Grimmer have played together since high school and Carr joined them in juniors.

I think the most DA's are excited to see what Robb Haider can do. His resume is quite impressive and everthing I've heard from UAA fans who've watched him grow up say we should be thrilled to have Robb. They all thought he'd end up DI for sure. I know I'm anxious to see what he brings to the table.

ok slappy, 1. Lets not compare Stout to Norwich. http://collegehockeystats.net/0910/boxes/mnrwwst1.n27

2. thats a below average to average ncha recruiting class at best. learn it, believe it, deal with it.

3. Stout's 2 year self declared dynasty is over. with teams like superior and falls moving back towards the top. and snc, point and css continuing from where they left off last season.... who exactly do you plan on beating?
your 4th liners off the avalanche aren't going to go into SNC and win. by the way, have you guys put in an offensive system this offseason or do you just plan on going out there and ****ing around again?

all i have to say is, look out eau claire.

Superior moving back towards the top, what drug are you on? Bottom barrel of the NCHA last season is not moving back towards the top.

Give me some of what your having, it must be good stuff.

When did we ever claim that we were a "dynasty"?

Dynasty: "A family or group that maintains power for several generations".

2 years isn't long enough to equate to a dynasty, showing your stupidity; must be from the education they give you mud ducks in Hibbing.

By the way were 111-69-18 in the last 6 years. I think that's a nice solid team.

By definition (mine), in college athletics a dynasty would be a run of dominance that extends over five or more years. Norwich is a dynasty in the ECAC East. Midd is (was?) a dynasty in the NESCAC. As for the West UWS used to be one, seems like SNC is, and Stout has been consistently good

Re: UW-Stout offseason thread

Looks like an over recruiting class to me. Eight graduated and bringing in thirteen. How many transfers? Alot of suites in the stands.

Re: UW-Stout offseason thread

I don't think Dunn County Arena has suites :) I could be wrong, though

You be wrong. :D We have a enclosed seating area in one corner of the arena with finger foods for folks willing to pay a bit more. It's typically reserved by older fans. 60+

A way to minimize your chance of frostbite.

I feel pretty safe saying the Dunn Co. is one of the coldest arenas in the country. You know it's a cold rink when you leave the arena and you feel like it's warmer outside during a Wisconsin evening in January.
