USCHO Continues to Discriminate Against WHOK

Continues to be disgusting that USCHO continues to discriminate against women's ice hockey by only posting "15" in the USCHO National Polls while posting "20" for the men. Colleges continues to add WHOK while USCHO continues to discriminate against women's ice hockey. Colleges invest thousands in WHOK, while USCHO refuses to add 5 more teams/lines to the USCHO National Polls.

There are 64 D-I men's hockey teams, a poll ranking a top 20 is 31.25% of all teams being ranked.

There are 44 D-I women's hockey teams, a poll ranking a top 15 is 34.09% of all teams being ranked.

Do you want 50% of all women's hockey teams ranked?
 
Well, as of Dec 11 poll the top 18 are shown as there were only 3 other teams receiving votes. Couldn't add 5 more lines even if they wanted to!

Congratulations on qualifying for "most idiotic post of the year" with only two days gone. You'll still be in the top 20 by the end of the calendar, unless we discriminate and only rank 15 of them.

Sounds like if we want "equality" the men's poll should add a couple teams and make it a Top 22 to achieve the same 34%. Otherwise it's discrimination or something...

You need to get a hobby.
 
USCHO is a news organization. They rely on advertising dollars to keep their site running. So they create content people want to read.

The number one team in both the PW and poll is Ohio State. They’re averaging 591 per game. In short no one gives two she-its about women’s hockey. If you think adding 5 more teams to the useless poll is going to help then good luck.

There has been alot of media coverage about the new PWHL “Boston” woman’s pro hockey team. The team currently has no name. I suggest the Lowell Something Something’s, since it appears that every “home “ game is scheduled for Tsongas.

Why is the PWHL discriminating against the fine mill town of Lowell?!? Jackie McD, let’s get a petition going!

If you were REALLY into this equality thing, you should also have asked why Women’s DIII doesn’t get its own forum? But apparently you only want to moan inequitably……
