Union @ RPI on Saturday, 11/16

Re: 3-1 Union

Re: 3-1 Union

Ugly finish to this one-biggest difference from what i could see-simply defense. Union defense although not spectacular was workmanlike and did their job and rarely out of position and often joining the play at the blue line or jumping in on the rush. Our defense for 2 nights got exposed. Poor decisions, poor clearing the zone, poor puck support, and stupid number of penalties most of which were unnecessary. I would imagine SA will be steaming-there could be some major changes coming with some players who felt secure in their position finding out they are sitting.

Extremely poor sportsmanship exhibited by Union. Disappointing from a team that played so well.

Has anyone sorted through all the penalties? Who will be disqualified from Friday's game at Mercyhurst? (Assuming the coach doesn't sit them for poor play?)

Re: Union @ RPI on Saturday, 11/16

I had computer problems after the first period, so I couldn't post, but I was able to watch the whole game. I think it would have been better if I was not able to watch.
This was another ugly third period. And that was before all the frustration stuff.
These guys have to go back to the drawing board. It is good that we are going out of conference next week. We need to regroup.

Couldn't agree more. To add to the frustration of being unable to see a win against these guys, you have a couple of their upperclassmen (Vasaturo, Gostisbehere) taunting the crowd as they leave the ice. Low class. As a fan, I don't appreciate being disrespected by players.

And then you have ECAC officials who constantly lose control of games, which heaps a bit more frustration right on the top.

I think I've discovered a rare and cruel form of torture.

At least we know why it was the Flyers that drafted however-the-****-you-spell-his-name.
