Union @ Cornell - 2/24

Re: Union @ Cornell - 2/24

Cornell wins 3-2, Union deserved to lose that one. If you can't score on 6 power plays and give up the game winner to a guy with 0 goals you don't deserve to win.

ECAC standings comes down to tomorrow night, I've never been a bigger RPI fan in my life.
Always have liked "seeing" your posts over the years DF. Good Luck tomorrow night & Cornell's fans wish Union a #2 seed. Thanks from the college hockey barren west coast

Cornell's Three Stars of the Game:

Honorable Mentions to Iles, McCarron, & Lowry
3d Star: Greg Miller
2d Star: Erik Axell
1st Star: Roger Craig.

Re: Union @ Cornell - 2/24

To my eye (very clearly biased), it just seemed like Cornell worked harder and wanted it more. Really gutsy win.

However, 4 (4!) offensive-zone penalties tonight. Gotta figure out how to play just as hard but more smarter.

Re: Union @ Cornell - 2/24

Nice win by Cornell against a strong Union team. Conrats to both. Bring on RPI for senior night!!

That vaults Cornell to a tie for 7th in the PWR and drops Union to 11th...of course, there are 4 teams tied for 7th and that will likely change before the night is over.

To be fair to Craig (the guy with the game winner), he's actually looked pretty good when he's played. He was in there tonight filling in for Ferlin.

Re: Union @ Cornell - 2/24

Interesting that the refs refused to review the Cornell crossbar hit. In the BU-Vermont game on NBC Sports, a 10-minute review turned a no goal to a goal.
Lynah's equipment has been a problem all season. I wonder whether the refs were told before the game we didn't have replay capability tonight.
