Union @ Brown 1/21/2012

Re: Union @ Brown 1/21/2012

I'm cautiously optimistic about tonight's game. However, Brown always seems to give Union fits, even when the Bears were awful.

Let's go U!

Re: Union @ Brown 1/21/2012

Unger notes that some Montreal Canadiens scouts are sitting at the end where Grosenick will tend goal in the 1st/3rd.

Re: Union @ Brown 1/21/2012

With each passing goal, I'm a little more worried that a pro team might snag Welsh away after this year. And Grosenick's going to attract suitors with what he's doing as well. But I guess those are concerns for a later date.

Re: Union @ Brown 1/21/2012

Mat Bodie scores from the point off a face off to make it 2-0.

Strange goal, Clemente didn't even move.

Re: Union @ Brown 1/21/2012

Stuart and Novak assisted on the first goal (Welsh) and Welsh assisted on the second goal (M.Bodie).

Union has out-shot Brown 14-7.

Re: Union @ Brown 1/21/2012

First period ends with Union leading 2-0. Union completely out-played Brown, shots were 14-7 U.

Goals were Welsh from Stuart and Novak, and M. Bodie from Zajac. Union is getting a lot of odd-man rushes, hopefully they can convert a few as the game goes on.

Another typically empty Meehan crowd.

The horse is dead already, stop beating it.

Not to make excuses, but we got hit by 6 more inches of snow today than we were prepared for. I made it to Meehan because I have a big SUV made for these conditions, but plenty of people probably stayed home due to the awful travelling conditions.

Re: Union @ Brown 1/21/2012

Brown playing with a little more fire this period, but takes a penalty. Union PP number 2.
