UNH Wildcats

So I surf into TheAHL.com this afternoon, and what do I see on the front page but a big photo of Darren Haydar and a link to a recent article/interview (with more photos) that's really nicely done:

http://www.dailyherald.com/article/20130207/sports/702079778/

"He's absolutely the face of the franchise," said Wolves general manager Wendell Young. "He might be the face of the AHL, actually, when you look at where he is in all-time scoring, the active scoring leaders list" ...

Couldn't have happened to a better/nicer person of course ...

"As for his future, Haydar said he'd like to play for a few more years — perhaps that NHL dream will still be fulfilled one day — and after that, he'd like to coach" ...

Ahh, if only we could see him one day behind the bench at the Whitt ...

Re: UNH Wildcats

Matt Fornataro signs with Leksand. See his tweet.

Also via Matt Fornataro to Leksand
"2013-05-15 21:04:00
It started rumored yesterday.
Today it became clear.
VIK's star Matt Fornataro leaves VIK and go to Leksand.
- Matt is a technical center with really good hockey sense which fits in well with our team. I've had a good handle on Matt in the winter and he did a really good season in Västerås and I'm glad he chose Leksand as his next club. He comes to bring both breadth and depth in our squad, says Tommy Salo in a press release.

Fornataro is undoubtedly worth a chance in the top division. The only question is how good he is at that level.
It's probably a heavier pin in Vasteras, than he is the tip of Leksand. And it is quite natural, given the different levels of leagues.

Anyway. A very exciting and interesting transition!"

(Thank you Google Translate - Not perfect, but you get the idea.)
