UNH vs. Providence Friday Feb 3

Re: UNH vs. Providence Friday Feb 3

This should be a good goal... Gravel is saying he lost sight of the puck, but there was no reason for that to be blown dead.

Re: UNH vs. Providence Friday Feb 3

After getting hosed out of a win vs. MC, I don't feel particularly bad about this (especially since we have a 2 goal lead)

Re: UNH vs. Providence Friday Feb 3

Either way, a little too late for the Friars. I'm happy with the effort though.

Re: UNH vs. Providence Friday Feb 3

Boy... really poor reffing by Gravel blowing the whistle on that one. Can't see why he blew it.

PC played hard after the first period.

3-1 final score

first home win since november, yikes... back in 8th place, weeee

Game over!!

CATS WIN, CATS WIN!!!

3-1 UNH

Very nice win for the Cats tonight as they try to climb back into this thing.

Re: UNH vs. Providence Friday Feb 3

You can send those gift baskets to John Gravallese, that was not particularly close.

In fairness the rule is if the ref loses sight of the puck, not if it's covered up and you see it on TV. If he lost sight of it, he has to blow the whistle.

Re: UNH vs. Providence Friday Feb 3

Not to be forgotten, but DeSmith played great tonight. The only goal he gave up was on a horrible turnover behind the net, and a man uncovered (one of the best players on the ice, no less, in front). Let's get 2 more tomorrow night and jump up another space or two...

still poor on his part to lose sight that close to the action, it was pretty clear it was bouncing around behind DeSmith...

Re: UNH vs. Providence Friday Feb 3

Much needed win here for UNH. Gotta start resurrecting this cadaver of a season somewhere, I guess. Final: UNH 3, PC 1

What's even worse is my choice of grammar in that poorly constructed sentence.
