In no particular order:
The Ruck - Killer craft beer selection (30+ tap heads) and solid pub grub 104 3rd St. Troy
Dinosaur BBQ - Outpost of the Syracuse original. Solid smoked meats easy location to rink. 377 River Street (other bars / restAurants on River St make it a good landing spot.
Verdile's - Doc D's favorite --better than your average red sauce italian joint. Try the veal--seriously...And the house made sausage. 572 2nd Ave. Troy
to paraphrase Yogi, nobody goes to Bella Napoli anymore, it's always so crowded.DEFINITELY try the veal parm!!! Jen always got the Chicken Cacciatore(she is a spicy little italian and swears by this place). http://www.verdile.com/menu.htm Second avenue and about 112th street. On the way back to HFH you must stop at Bella Napoli http://www.bellanapolibakery.com/ if your arteries can handle it. One of the finest italian pastry shops you can find.

Thanks for all the great recommendations. I hope to get out of town without gaining 10 pounds!
Now can you remove the link in your signature file to a couple of minutes when RPI fell apart in that game? A video of Rick Smith's OT winning goal would be a lot better.
I still remember listening to that game.
