UNH 2025 Offseason: Where in the World is MS7?

Buford, as usual, has exquisite timing. BU just announced that Jay Pandolfo signed a long term extension. In all fairness, stupidity is a full time affliction; therefore, everything Buford writes can be disproved instantly irrespective of timing.

“We’re committed to the continued and sustained success of Boston University men’s ice hockey, and that commitment starts with ensuring that Jay remains home as our head coach,” said athletic director Drew Marrochello.

Rest assured, NIL money will be flowing at BU. Funny how schools with endowments of $3.5 billion can sign some employees to lucrative contracts while firing a group of others. The same goes for what the university chooses to fund. BU hockey is rolling in dough.
Are we talking about the same guy here?? Looks like Gomer Pyle's paisan half-brother, had a long but mediocre NHL career as a scrub, kind of a poor man's Daniel Winnik with a Boston accent, and seems to be doing a good HC impression of Dick Umile on the national stage so far?? I will admit, potty ... it's funny as he11 to read the press release on his extension, inferring somehow that Goober was in the mix for one of the eight NHL head coaching jobs, but he "chose" to stay at BU instead ... after coaching legends such as Marco Sturm, Glen Gulutzan, Jeff Blashill, Adam Foote, Lane Lambert and Dan Muse (the Pride of Stonehill!) among others, scarfed up the high paying NHL HC jobs instead.

Oh yeah, that NIL will be flowing, I'm sure those laid off educators will be renewing their season tickets at Agganis just to make sure they can keep poor litt;e Aiden Celibrini flush with cash. Question: What happens when Pandolfo runs out of Hutson brothers?? Gonna find out soon enough, mon ami ...

Buford, yes, they are going to give it to UNH. You're turning into a pan handler. Have some personal pride.
The point being, potty, that you were WRONG again. Two of these guys ARE "giving it to UNH", that's not even up for discussion. The other two - who you had assured all of us were separate entities altogether - are indeed business partners on several fronts, and one of them is also a UNH guy, while his partner has close to a Billion dollars worth of active ventures ongoing in the State of NH. And as we learned a few weeks ago, the original $4.0M gift from TDL has quietly morphed into matching funds (mostly private) of $20.0M, overshooting the target for a full go on the renovation project. And voila, UNH has opted in as well.

I think you went about oh-for-a-dozen combined in that short paragraph, Karnac. So you were abjectly wrong about UNH. Now we'll find out how good your BU predictions turn out. I tellya, you may accomplish the impossible at this rate, turning me from a BU guy into a BC guy in the Battle of Commonwealth Ave. The Chestnut Hillbillies might all wet themselves with glee over the irony of such a development. Just keep on being you, though. Laughing at vs. laughing with, etc.

 🤪 🤪

I wonder if this is true Potluck- copied from the BU fan page.:ROFLMAO:
Reading on several sites that BU has opted out- Does that mean they can not offer 26 scholarships
Hard to believe
Correct, and also cannot offer "revenue sharing" (payments) to players. Reportedly, the Patriot League as a whole decided not to opt in. Since a school's entire athletic department (besides play-ups) has to opt in or out, that effects BU hockey even though they are not in the PL.

As they say in my native state of Minnesota ------ OOOF-DAA!!!:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Aww cmon hillbilly boy, you know Pandolfo has the program lined up, don’t you know?

Only a road kill connoisseur like yourself would question the nhl career of Pandolfo, who won 2 Stanley Cups and played 900 games over 16 nhl seasons. But rabies and cheap alcohol can do that to a man.

Shawn Thornton played 700 games over 14 NHL seasons and won 2 Cups
Dave Semenko played 700 games over 11 NHL/WHA seasons and won 2 Cups
Joey Kocur played played 800 games over 16 NHL seasons and won 3 Cups
Darren McCarty played 750 games over 15 NHL seasons and won 4 Cups
Kirk Maltby played over 1,000 games over 16 NHL seasons and won 4 Cups
Kris Draper played over 1,100 games over 20 NHL seasons and won 4 Cups

Pandolfo a/k/a "Thanks Marty!" was no more important to his NJD teams than any of these guys were to their Cup winning teams. Probably less so actually.

Honest to God, potty, you make it SO easy when you keep making losing arguments. From awash in NIL to starving of NIL in one afternoon. Bends much?!?

Maybe you can grace us with your stock market tips next, so we know where NOT to put our investments ... :ROFLMAO::LOL::ROFLMAO::LOL::ROFLMAO::LOL::ROFLMAO::LOL::ROFLMAO::LOL::ROFLMAO::LOL::ROFLMAO:

Winner right here. Ryan Whitney was the culprit, and Tyson Teplitsky got the credit for the winner.

Last meaningful UNH hardware, 22 years ago now ... and to think, at the time, it felt like we were just getting started ... :(
That goal was Tyson Tiplitsky’s first of only two goals that season. More post-season scoring opportunities back then.

With UNH visiting East Lansing for two games on 9-10 October, the obvious trivia question is when did we last play a BiG10 team?

Nice segue, eh?

Looks like it was 2014-15 when they played Mich and Mich St. (both splits). They also played Notre Dame, but Notre Dame was in Hockey East at the time. They lost to BU in the Semi's. The last appearance at the garden (truly hard to believe). Maybe having a Big 10 opponent is a sign of better things to come. (Forever optimistic)!

Exactly what I am hoping, as I think that Big10 teams wanted nothing to do with us since we hosted Michigan at the Whitt for two on 22-23 November 2019. Then MS7 pulled off his first winning season two years ago when the Spartans were struggling so got them onto our schedule.

Your right 2019.
