UMD's Blueline

Hoping for a big year from the UMD Bulldogs, was wondering if someone could shed some light on how the blueline is going to shape up. With Olson, Lamb, Olsen, Montgomery, Faulk I assume are safe bets for the top 5, where do the others fit in like Kishel, Bergman, Palm, Huttle? Seems like it's going to be very crowded, is there any injuries as I see Kishel hasn't dressed yet. I thought he improved as the season went on last year, was hoping he'd be a regular now that he's an upperclassman.

Finally, a thread on here about UMD. But I guess that's what you get when you have you're own website. You're right, those 5 are probably going to be cemented in those spots all year. I like the way they're playing it right now, with Bergman in there. The guy plays bigger than he is, and is pretty poised under pressure. I wouldn't be surprised, however, to see Kishel, Huttel, and the rest see some playing time against an apparently weak opponent in Providence. We'll see how it works out. It's nice to have the problem where a draft pick or two could be sitting in the stands, instead of having to scrounge for players to put in that spot.

I think it is going to be interesting to see how much playing time Huttel receives this year. Being a senior in all, yet with plenty of capable freshmen and lower classmen to play as well. With his temperamental nature, I wonder if that might have a say in less playing time.

Also nice to see Faulk and Olsen have already scored goals. I hope to see as much point contribution from our defense as possible.

The good news: Dylan Olsen could/should be picked for Team Canada. :)
The bad news: Dylan Olsen could/should be picked for Team Canada and might miss some games. :(
