That is odd. I know they wore them against UAH in the first series of the year, but that was because UAH lost their jerseys somewhere I think.

Simonelli makes it 1-0 to Bucky.

I have to say, pretty decent crowd for the week betwwen Xmas and New Years. It's a sea of red. I feel so at home. :)

Small melee in front of UMass goalie. UMass winds up with a powerplay after all that.

Now Wisconsin with sustained pressure. Shoula scored at some point there. Badgers outshooting UMass 11-5.

Podge Turnbull (Podge? Really?) Puts the puck in an open net after Barnes walked in skated around behind the goal pulling Teglia out of the net. Bad defense there by UMass.

Ryan Little on the doorstep, awesome pass by Justin Schultz, 3-0 Wisconsin, 2:40 into the 2nd period. Teglia had no chance on that one.

UMass' Syner splits the defense and scores, 3-1. I was just typing that UMass couldn't get anything going this period. My Opposite Girl powers even work at a game like this!

Penalty on UMass. Wisconsin's powerplay is really good. This should be interesting.

Simonelli given all day to shoot, so he does, and makes it 4-1 on the power play.

Giving it to Mersch on the deflection it sounds like.

And they don't disappoint. Badgers score, 4-1. Now, a penalty on Wisconsin - too many men. UMass powerplay.
