UMass-Lowell @ Northeastern 12/10/11

Re: UMass-Lowell @ Northeastern 12/10/11

This is a great match up.
Almost wish (from our standpoint), this was on the road. Lowell will give us fits tomorrow.. hopefully we're up to the challenge.

Go Huskies!
:)

UML willi be riding a high from the win tonight but NU might be more rested. Should be a great matchup.

Re: UMass-Lowell @ Northeastern 12/10/11

Should be a great game, hopefully lowell was more focused on BC in practice this week then on NU. Obviously NU only had to focus on UML.

Only one team is going to go into the break with a 6 game win streak.

The Ice is Life will be live blogging tomorrow night's Lowell/NU game.

Be prepared to Deal With It.

Thinking of going tomorrow and bringing my 13 and 15 year old kids with me. Its an easy Orange Line ride.

remember to prepare facepaint before the game... kids can get away with that stuff :)

Kinda weird to think that Lowell is on a five-game winning streak. They only won five games last year.

Tonight should be interesting, Lowell's fourth game in 8 days, while NU had last night off. They played a heck of a game last night, but as a Lowell fan, I have to wonder if they suffer a let down tonight...

Hopefully not.

I try not to think... it causes disorientation... I've been adding in two losses to our record to keep perspective straight.

Both can go into the break with a 6 game unbeaten streak. :D;)

Re: UMass-Lowell @ Northeastern 12/10/11

Tonight is going to be a fabulous game. It will be very interesting to see the Huskies once again as they struggled mightly in their first game at Merrimack, especially on the PK. That was a month and a half ago and a lot has happened with both teams since. I don't read in too much to the whole night off/on thing because as a ranked team, you have to deal with the given schedule. Sure, BC was the "premier" game this week but I'm sure the Hawks were constantly reminded of the two game week.

The game will give us a good indication on how well-conditioned the River Hawks are in the last 25:00 minutes of the game. If it's close, which I think most would agree, it may be the key to the game. The injuries to our defenseman are my biggest cause for concern. Conventional wisdom and pure logic says you'll see Carr tonight, but for some reason, I woudn't be shocked to see Robbins. He's done it before.

I'll be watching on the web feed as I'm a bit under the weather after my trip. Looking forward to a spirited battle!

Re: UMass-Lowell @ Northeastern 12/10/11

I think the only way you see Robbins is in case you have a glimmer of hope that he can work at Carr's level or any other nearly adequate level this season

Re: UMass-Lowell @ Northeastern 12/10/11

Bad call by Bazin costs Lowell a chance. Good game from the Huskies, they were fresh and ready to go and it was obvious from the start. Top line had lots of skill. See you guys in the new year.

Re: UMass-Lowell @ Northeastern 12/10/11

Very evenly matched game, carr looked as good as advertised and #10 (forget is name too lazy to look it up) has some real skill and speed. Thought you guys did a good job of getting into the passing lanes and disrupting our play on the boards that worked so well against ND last weekend. See you guys very soon, should be 2 more close ones.
