Mike,
I moved the spread spreadsheet to my signature so that with every post I make it is available. Just click on the "UMaine Black Bears Recruit Site" below. On the stats page if you see an * next to a player they have signed a NLI. Keep in mind that players who have aged out of juniors do not sign NLI's and that signing an NLI does not mean that a player is coming the following season.

Re: UMaine Black Bears Recruiting

After an injury delayed his start to the season, followed by a departure to compete for Team Latvia at the World Juniors, Eduards Tralmaks seems to be settling in nicely and playing some good hockey. Over the past 20 games, dating back to the end of January, Talmaks has posted 5-13-18 or 0.9 pts/gm. In his past 12 games he has put up 3-11-14 or 1.16 pts/gm.

Similarly, after being transferred to Coulee Region (NAHL), Jacob Schmidt-Svejstrup seems to be getting back to playing offensive hockey and leaving the major penalties for the enforcers. In his past 13 games JSS has put up 10-7-17 or 1.3 pts/gm and only 4 minor/0 major penalties. These stats put JSS back in line with his career statistics. I haven't seen him play since the Springfield series, his first after the transfer, but he clearly has gotten back to playing the style of hockey that has brought him the most success on the ice.

Re: UMaine Black Bears Recruiting

Jacob Schmidt-Svejstrup
Big weekend with 4 goals and 1 assist in 3 games. Including 3rd star honors Friday night and a hat trick Saturday earning 1st star honors. I watched Friday night game and he is certainly back to skating with the same offensive focus and skill he has displayed during his tenure at Selects Academy,Jr. Bruins, and Team Denmark. His stint in Dubuque, which at this point is clear an outlier, is looking more and more like he was overemphasizing development of other aspects of his game. He is now averaging a point a game since arriving in NAHL. His poor performance in USHL this season likely delayed his arrival in Orono by a year which, in the long run, may end up being a win-win for both player and team.

Eduards Tralmaks
Continued to stay hot this week with 2 goals and an assist. Although he will be eligible for juniors next season his strong end of the regular season has most likely solidified his arrival in Orono this fall.

Ben Meyers
Dressed for Fargo (USHL) this weekend. In two games he posted 1 goal and 0 assists. Glad to see him skating with Fargo again and skating against better talent than found in high school ranks. A full season of USHL play next winter and, barring any surprises, Meyers should ready for his arrival at the Alfond. With continued development, the arrival of Meyers, JSS and Adam Dawe has the potential to be one of the best collections of offensive skill to arrive in Orono in a long time.
